REbuilt Time!!! Please help

Hi everyone, well on my way to KDR performance today as i was sitting in traffic on the highway, happen to glance down on my instrument cluster and saw that the temp gauge went almost all the way up. I amidietly pulled over into the left shoulder of the highway and shut down the engine, after that starting to see smokes coming out of the engine compartment. So i call the tow truck towed it home and now thinking about doing my own rebuilt but i need to know some info so please help.

1- Typically what do i need to do a rebuilt. should i open it up and check to see whats demage and reuse other parts. I'm really short on cash right now so dont want to buy the whole rebuilt kit or where to get a cheap rebuilt kit.
2- Does anyone know where i can get the porting templates at all? or should i just bring it to KDR and have them port it for me?
3- What else should i upgrade when doing a rebuilt, like new injectors, clutch flywheels or anything like that for both reliability and performance. thanks guys all your info will be deeply appriciated thanks agian.

Thank you for saving me a trip. I was going to drive up and check this out for $100T2. It's a shame, I saw this in the 4 sale section and thought it looked like a well taken care of car in good shape.

What kinda smoke?

If you shut it down right away, the engine might be okay.

If all the fluid levels are okay, try starting it and see how it runs. If there is anymore doubt in your mind, have it evaluated by your trusted mechanic.

i believe you have your car on ebay with bids up to 12,000$ that is ending in 40 mins. i hope you will mention this to the buyer. it also says it needs a clutch too.

Wew guys, man it was a false alarm. When the car got home i check all the fuilds and refill them, i start the car up and it starts right up and i let it sit until driving temp and drove it. So i guess nothing happened. Dman and i thought it was doooommmmmm.

Anyways hey AMRAAM4 you can come up and check it out now let me know ok thanks

By the way i email the highest bidder and told them i can't sold the car for that price after i started the car and ran it.
