rebuild time estimates

I know this is a lame question because you cant necessariily answer it. also, i have searched alot, and come to some hypothesis's, but i just wanted to know. if the 13b is in good shape, e.g., recently rebuilt well, and all of the cooling options are added, what do you think a fair estimate would be of how long it will be until i have to get it rebuilt. i have the money to do it, i just want to know what i am getting into. just say i do the basic stuff, e.g. dp, ast, radiator, intercooler, exhaust, power fc, etc....

It all depends on how long you avoid detonating the motor and avoid overheating it. A lot also depends on how much power you're making. I recommend purchasing and installing an Aquamist water injection system if you're worried about the longevity of the motor, search under my username and 'aquamist pics' to find some good info.

FD motors can last from 150,000 miles to 1 mile, it's all up to you

Sadly enough, there are even the odd occasions that a string of bad luck will hit you too and for whatever reason your well built/tuned motor will go...

But like Rich said - there are ways to help protect your investment. He provided some great pics and insight.
