How much hp does a 7 get from just rebuilding and porting it at level 2

 

I was reading about porting yesterday and one shop's FAQ section said street porting adds 20% hp. It may have been Atkin's site but I'm not sure.

 

What the heck is level 2 porting?

 

I have no idea... I'd guess like a mild streetport?

 

Yeah, that's kinda of arbitrary. However, I've seen a couple shops refer to an intake only port job as a stage I, level 1 and an intake/exhaust port as a stage II, level II.

 

is it possible to bump a stock up to 330 by just a rebuild?

 

I am actually in the process of a stage 2 streetport. supposed 20% increase in power.

 

When you guys talk about "street port" what size are you refering to? Would a street port be much bigger than a mild port?

 

a streetport is a port job that only cuts on the port. . . it doesnt make any new holes. there is mild and large. . . typically. there is a grey area between builders as to what mild and large are. just see whos making the most power and compare their mods to other shops. . . youll be able to see who has the better port.
