Recomended break-in time will vary depending on who you ask. I know some tuners who will say that they can break the car in on the dyno immediately following the first start-up, and I know of other people who will suggest between 750 and 1,000 miles of easy driving before tuning for power.

Personally I would prefer to play the "better safe than sorry" card and put a good 500+ miles on it first.

Agreed nice easy drive not to much boosting so that everything can settle in.

After ordering some RA classic seals for my rebuild I was told by Dominic that the break in period for their seals is 100 miles under 3500 RPM then under 5000 RPM for the next 200 miles no boost for the first 300 miles he suggested 1oz/gal premix non synthetic 2-stroke, no specific brand just good oil. Tuning immediately after rebuild seems like a lack of common sense.
