Rear Speakers

Could somebody who knows please tell me if the rear panel speaker grills and brackets are the same in all FD3S regardless of year? Thanks in advance.

they are the same so long as they are speaker grills and not the little cubby. grills from a 93 will fit an 02 and everything inbetween

Thanks. So can you take the cubby things out of a 93 touring and replace them with speaker grills from any year?

Yes, I have done it with 2 different 93 FDs.

I replaced the cubbies from my '93 Touring (w/bose) with the brackets and speaker covers from the R1 model. It's worth noting that there's no factory speaker wiring behind there if you had Bose. I ended up running wiring from the Bose harness in the trunk to the speaker pods.
