Cool Opinions on this street port template

Hey guys -

I have a street port template from AGES ago - I don't know what vendor it came from.

I'm helping a local guy here rebuild his engine, and we're thinking about doing a light street port.

See the attached pictures - anyone recognize this port? The primary port seems a little aggressive.

This is for a sequential twin car, I have read that leaving the port open later can help in this situation, earlier not so much.

Advice or input is appreciated!

Dale

I looked around some, it does appear to be a Mazdatrix template. Any input on if it's too aggressive?

Not bad, the primaries are certainly stout for a street car (bye bye emissions, lol) and the secondaries can probably open a bit sooner.

I'd rock that..... be careful porting inward on that secondary though, not much room at all if you value the health of your oil control rings

More radical than a PineApple medium port.

you might want to put a side seal in a rotor and make sure it will clear that port, better safe than sorry. if it doesn't it either should be ported a little smaller, or you can bevel it.

if that was mine, i'd probably leave the primary alone, and only do the secondary, but its not mine is it
