Rear Brake Rebuild Kit Question

So, most of the parts are obvious.

What is/are "A"?
I'm guessing "B" is to lube the hand brake internals, Lock and Guide pins.
I'm guessing "C" is to lube the the piston seal/dust boot.
I'm pretty sure "D" is brake fluid for lubricating the piston bores.

I didn't plan on using "D" (going to use my brake fluid), starting to think I should toss "B" and "C" and just use Super Lube.

Any opinions on any of this would be appreciated.

I'm going to guess A is the rubber tip for the end of either the Lock or Guide bolt, I forget which has the rubber tip. I didn't get the full rebuild kit, so didn't get those but wish I had. If you decide not to use them, mail 'em to me!

I used the orange grease for the parking brake mechanism, and the red for lubricating the piston dust boot - hope that was right. One has to be compatible with brake fluid, obviously.

FYI, installing the dust boot is a bit tricky. I first fit the top of the dust boot over the bottom of the piston, then got the bottom edge of the boot into its slot in the cylinder wall, then carefully pushed the piston down through the boot and through the piston ring, and finally seated the top of the dust boot into its groove in the top of the piston. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the response, I wiped the grease off the Lock pin and there it was. I would have run into it before all was said and done, but it was a little unnerving (don't want to end up with too many extra parts after a rebiuld). I'll go with the grease suggestions, and we'll see how much fight are in the dust boots.

Thanks again for the help...

The orange gunk (b) is to lubricate the 'sliders' (for lack of a better term). The rods that the floating portion of the caliper moves on. I recently purchased a set of mazda oem rebuilt rear calipers from Ray at Malloy (pretty damn cheap too) and the sliders were all covered in orange gunk

It appears we might be correct in guessing the "red gunk" is for the piston seals and dust boots, with "orange gunk" on everything else.

I got the rebuild kit from Ray (pretty damn cheap not), but I'm powder coating the calipers and mounts, so everything had to come apart.

Thanks for the input...

use brake caliper grease on the slider pins, and brake fluid on the piston

The kit comes with two grease's (C) Pink (pink more than red). (B) Orange is for the slider pins and boots only, also the ebrake?
Just wondering where to use (C) just on the parts specified or the spindle as well, I planned on using brake fluid on the piston and bore. Just want to be sure I'm using the right grease on the right place, just call me paranoid...... this is the first time I've ever rebuilt any rear brakes.
Thanks

Well, I was in my local Mazda Stealership today picking up some parts I ordered and ask one of the mechanics' the question. Answer: pink on all rubber parts, orange on all metal to metal contact, neither is affected by brake fluid. But don't use the orange on any rubber parts!
