Question Rear Brake Pad Replacement

I have the calipers off the car since I was painting them and installing new rotors, brake lines, speedbleeders, and pads. I'm using Hawk HPS pads and it looks like the V-Spring would sit in the groove between the 2 sections of pad surface, but in this pic:

It looks like the V-Spring is supposed to be installed on the bottom part of the pad, but with the HPS pads I don't see where that would go. Does anyone know for sure? TIA.

whats up JR,

i had the calipers and all off a couple weeks go. I put on some braided stainless steal brake lines. The clip should go on the same way it was with the stock pads. I cant recall how it was off the top of my head but i will give you a call...

what kinda rotors did you get?
