I think your gonna have to take the quarter panels off and there are like 5 nuts behind the divider/under the carpet

If you're just talking about the center tunnel cover, there are the two lower screws low on either side covered by the seats, two on the top center underneath the shifter panel, and two on the top front that attach the A/C panel to the center tunnel cover. You'll also have to unscrew the e-brake boot and pop that out (just let it stay attached to the ebrake). From there you're good to wiggle it out.

Download the FSM's... they'll do wonders to help you the first time you take apart anything. A picture's worth a 1000 words: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/94-fsms-available-download-449950/

Tunnel cover has to come off, rear interior quarter panels have to come off, rear carpet needs to come out. After you get all that out of the way it is pretty easy, few nuts in the front, few in the hatch and I think that is all... It is also easier to just remove one of the seats to help get the back bins out of the car. They are easier to cut cleanly that way (holes for the wires) and it keeps you from having to be all cramped in the car trying to run your wires.

I think he already has the battery relocated, he just wants to run some wires to it. At least that's how I read " run a couple wires into the passenger bin with the battery"
