READ SYNTH OIL POSTS still no answer

Okay i read almost 20 threads on the whole synth VS natural oil. But I specifically want to know from the people that switched over to synth. Have you guys noticed your plugs getting fouled up more often or not?I mean i read a coupel of threads that peopel said synth made thier idel smoother start up smoother and accel smotther. Vut has anyone noticed a quicker build up of **** from syn? Since this what people say is bad about synth in our cars.

And second is it better to use syn premix liek protek - r or some kind anatural 2 cycle for cleaner burnning?

This has been discussed many times. Always with no consensus on which is better. Lets not do it again

I switched to redline 10-30, after being on dino for a while. Dino was degrading I guess faster or somethign because my oil pressure would always be all over the place. Switch to syn, and it was always steady no matter how hot it was outside.

^^^ noticed the same too when dino has been in the car for over 1500 miles or so. I think I will be switching to Royal Purple to see if it makes a difference.

Yup maybe its more resistant to the blow by to , you know the problem with the gas mixing in there.

Rotaryaviation.com has an oil adapter the goes between the OMP and block. The adapter has a nipple and you supply the 2 stroke oil in a container of choice. My container is going to be an oil catch flipped upside down.

This is the way to go IMO, i had a motor running 2 stroke oil and factory OMP with motor oil, night and day difference.

By doing this adapter, wont matter what kind of oil you use b/c none of it will go into the combustion chamber.

OKay you people are obviously not reading so let me put it in big words for you HAVE YOUR PLUGS FOULED UP FASTER OR NOT FROM USING SYNTH!!??!?!

Also no one has answered whether synth or natural 2 cycle is most likely to burn better in the gas!

Xeros,
I've been running synthetic now for about a year w/about 4 oz. of MMO to a tank of gas and operating the OMP. No indications of fouling, but I hope to change my plugs (and wires) this weekend and I'll let you know the results.
FWIW, I'm running stock heat ratings on the plugs: 7s and 9s.

I run synthetic. I have not noticed any change in the propensity for my engine to foul plugs.

Synth 2-stroke is clearly better oil than non-synth 2-stroke for pre-mixing, but I am sure it costs more.

Thanks SGTblue please do PM about the results or just post here since that would be the reason people bash synth oil, it clogs" the system and plugs". And thank you maxcooper too, thanks for actually reading what I posted instead making a total assinine comment about previous SYN vs reg oil. And thanks for answerin my 2 cycle oil question.

just freakin do it!!!! you have to change your plugs all the time anyways just due to the design. they burn out quickly dont they. getting all rounded off and such. . . seriously, if there was a bad symptom about synthetic oil IT WOULD BE PASTED TO THIS FORUM AND WOULD BE VERY EASY TO FIND!!!! it would be on one of the threads for new owners.

holy crap. . . dont get pissed off when people answer your question with THEIR findings and results because THEY werent afraid to try synthetic. JUST DO IT AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF!!! you KNOW that the oil wont make your engine blow up so whats holding you back. . . are you afraid to spend a little more money on sparkplugs??? if thats the only thing youre worried about, then i think youre safe. . . unless your pockets arent deep enough for some extra plugs. . . hell, ill send you some of my old sandblasted ones!!!!

From what I understand, that's not unusual. Apparently the qualities of synthetic that make it a superior lubricant are the same qualities that allow it to find even the smallest leak. I had a small leak in my secondary turbo that increased a bit in terms of severity when I switched to synthetic. Your leak may have been there before you switched too.
