Why not buy a PowerFC? As good as the RE-Amemiya and Knightsports tune might be, it is still a generic tune done without your car in their possession.

Both have been doing remaps for years so you can't really go wrong with either. However, I think the nod would have to be in Mr. Amemiya's favor.

Yes, is true but since I have one engine broken of my hyundai in my garage for one APEXI SAFC2 bad tuned, I prefer one plug and play ECU mapped.

I have a Knightsports, friends have Amemiyas...
They do the job fine for a great price when you catch them on ebay.

Just make sure it has been tune for your set-up or the set-up you aim at.

But if you can afford, and know someone who can tune it, go for the PFC.

I wouldnt get either unless I knew exactly what it is mapped for which was always a problem for me and my lack of japanese linguistic skills. There are a vast number of both ECU's on the market. Some are tunes in stages, some are specifically tuned. I think you would be better to get one specifically tuned for YOUR car(that is not to say you should get one specifically tuned for anyone elses). I think it will be hard to get one for your car becuase I imagine they do all the dyno work and tuning themselves. The Apex'i Power FC is a great choice and is nothing like the SAFC 2 which is not good for much except a small tweak or compensating for new injectors. The Power FC lets you do an excelent job of tuning the car and is favored amongst many of the veterans here.

I am not knocking the two choices you have presented but I do think you need to listen to the wisdom provided above. Some "off the shelf" generic tune will always be more dangerous than a tune done specifically for your car and its current conditions. The PFC is very different than the SAFCII. It is a full stand alone replacement ecu where as the SAFC is just a piggyback meant to make small compensations with your existing factory ecu. Very different and each factory ecu responds differently to such devices. The motor in your rx7 will thank you later for spendin the extra cash and doing things correctly from the start. If you MUST decide between the two above they are probably very close as long as the tune is aimed at like modifications. REA, and KS have lots of tuning experience.

Finally I'm going to buy the 2 ECUS, one for my car and the other for one friend.

My car has a N3B7(8 in the side labels) ECU because is a european version and friend's car has a N3A1 ECU, is a US version car.

I wait these ECUS work fine in our cars.

Ok, I have mount one of these ECUS in my car today, the Re-amemiya ECU, in the first time I have to noted my turbo boost pattern is:15-10-15 psi, is a beast, I have mount the stock midpipe with the cat, I suppose with the 3" midpipe the car have to run better.

Tomorrow i like to probe the KS ECU.
