Re-amemiya 2005 JGTC race car

i emailed amemiya requesting the bodykit to look similar to the 2005 JGTC race car and this is what they replied to me

Dear James

Thank you for your e-mail.

It is 7,329 USD including tax and handling.
Plus shipping.

Regards

I would like to know when you will be making the 2005 JGTC RE amemiya bodykit available for the street.

Money is no option and I would like one made or similar to that

so looks like it could be made but its very expensive.

that 2006 looks better..plus you can't really compare the 06 with the 05 cus the 05 is the race car and the 06 is just a road car....
i wonder if they'll use the RX-8 as a JGTC race car...that'd be cool.

Your right, it would be way cool to use a far inferior car to race with...

Would you make it look like a replica of the race car or go with your own paint scheme? Cause I think going with that bodykit with a different color could look sweet!

Wow 7g's that's a lot of money, wish I could afford that since that is my favorite widebody kit, but I had to settle with the old school RE car that I am in the process of replicating besides the color since to my understanding nobody has this bumper here in the states yet..

I paid 1600 shipped for just my bumper from RE Amemiya and I am already bitchin about that....Imagine if I spent 7g's I'd be dying by then...lol...

Go for it would love to see that kit in the states....

This is probably the kit he's referring to. I can get it for $6K and some change, and it looks like absolute A$$ w/o all the stickers etc. Oh wait...it looks like absolute A$$ regardless. It's a 1-off from the real JGTC car, but somehow it fails miserably... Real deal, or bust.

I was just about to post those pics Ramy. And I agree, without all the stickers, it really looks like ****. and those headlights look awful with the yellow housings, they should have stayed black.

No. It's authentic in that it's made by RE, but it's not the exact same as the actual RE JGTC car. It's like a step down "street" version.

darkphantom, $7K for that kit isn't a bad price at all. But I guarantee you you'd be looking at prob $20K just to paint and install that kit right, when all is said and done. I dunno if you've seen the RE car in person (I have), and I can tell you, that thing has a LOT of body work done to it. And RE has it so that the body panels are all separate, bolted on, and easily removed and replaced to ease repairing the vehicle in the event of any body damage. You can't drive around w/ a car like that on the street - or at least I hope you don't.

~Ramy

PS: If anyone does every do the real deal RE JGTC bodykit, they better stick a 20B or a 4-rotor in that thing to back it up...

That BRS kit looks nice but not sure it would look as good without the stickers. Why don't you just go with the Veilside Fortune kit? Much more exotic looking

He's willing to spend 7k! Another 2k should'nt be that much of a big deal besides, he said money was not a problem. As far as the looks go, you can still tell it's an FD

No way you will get to install the Real GT kit on street car. both body have to be major cut down to fit the wheel suspension travel. and you see how low the front facia sit. that another major cut over there. if you do install it. not even drive able on street . you will crash you front lip or button out your suspension in no time.

That why Street Version look funny. because that is a lot of compromise compare to real GT kit.

You can buy real GT Kit. once they retire from JGTC. But they are not cheap. as they are one off and made from kevler and dry carbon.

I see some of Privite JGTC RX-7 use some of old RE Amemiya kit back then(95-99). so that mean they will consider selling the kit once they have no used od it . But they are Race only things so selling to normal people and out side of japan. it is almost impossible
