Rain water traps all the dirt on the road and then it gets flung onto the car and stays when the rain dries.
That makes the under cairrage full of dirt and sand.
Basically, the water makes the dirt stick to the car.
Most people like to keep their sports car clean and shiney.
Mine is not mint, so i just drive it.
