I just installed what I thought was an AWR radiator, but it might be PWR.

Size: Same lenght and width dimensions as stock, but 2x as thick

Fitment: B/C it has the same length and width as stock, it was an incredibly easy install. The only part that took me any time at all was trying to get the old rad. out

Thumbs up

I just bought the KOYO from radiator.com and paid $380 plus shipping / tax for total of $430.78 I ordered about 11:30 and it was at my house the next day before lunch. The thing is all aluminum and polished very nice, also more than double the thickness of stock. Fan shroud fit perfect but the mounting I can't tell you about since my front is modified with lots of room Ohh yeh, the number is 800-252-0333

Question Koyo for $342 at Car Radiator

Yeah that's the best price--IF that fits a '93 to '95 Rx7, which I assume it does?

Question Fluidyne PWR over Koyo

What makes those better than the Koyo? I thought the Koyo had the largest core for maximum cooling efficiency??

When I was researching radiators a few months back, I contacted several of the radiator manufacturers about their products. All of the above mentioned radiators are claimed to be 2-row radiators. From what I gathered, the Fluidyne is its own design as well as the Koyo and Mazda Comp./M2 radiator. The Fluidyne, Koyo and Mazda Comp./M2 radiators are all visibly different to some degree. The radiator that M2 sells, or did sell at the time, is the same radiator that Mazda Comp. makes in-house.

I can't say the Mazda Comp./M2 would be my first choice, as it has epoxyed end tanks, but is non-ethe-less a good radiator I'm sure.

I ended up going with the Fluidyne for it's drop-in reputation and found this to be true, indeed. Now, however, I ran across someone speaking about a 3-row radiator that I would rather have then all of them. Anyone know about his one?

I can't comment on the SR or PWR radiators as I have no experience with them.

Thanks.

Kyle

The PWR, M2 and Fluidyne are exactly the same. Identical dimensions. The only difference is the name and PWR makes the M2 radiators. The Mazdacomp is its own design. I have not seen anything that is built the same.

As far as I know the SR radiator is the same as the Koyo.

Question Can you beat Car Radiator's $342

PM me if you can, because I'm looking to order a Koyo. FWIW, I've already sent you an email asking about your inventory of Koyo. It looks like you've already answered my question here, so PM me for your best price, and I'll go ahead and place an order for the Koyo...

Koyo and FMIC

My guess is that what you gain in better cooling efficiency with a Koyo, you LOSE when inserting a FMIC. In effect, the Koyo brings you back to near-stock levels of cooling capacity when you use a FMIC--which isn't good, especially if you're pushing big RWHP with a single turbo!

IMHO, I just don't think FMICs are the way to go for those of us who road race, or live in very warm climates....

Koyo in its stock mount location used with an HMIC from Rotary Extreme is the ticket for road racers. I'll be testing that setup in in the spring 2003!

Question Coolant Volume with Koyo

Anyone know what his/her coolant volume is with a Koyo radiator? The stock cooling system took 9.2 quarts of coolant...
