Radiator Question

I have a 93 FD stick. Did the car come from the factory with a 1 or 2 core radiator? As an up grade what seem to work best in hot areas?

Not too sure about 1 row or 2 row.... most likely 2 row. People use both Koyo and Fluidyne brands. Koyo is a bit larger and will give u some fitment issues.

I have seen a set at one site for about 500 dollars. I have been doing some research and the reason they are so expensive is the bracket/aluminum plate they are molded to. I went and looked at some racing ones and they were modified with harden rubber, but the old mounts were cut off and a hole drilled in the aluminum plate. I have done some research and have found a stronger mount which can be installed in the same way the racers do but with softer material more like the stock rubber. I have made a set for my FD and it cost me 40 dollars total. I placed a picture of the mount but most guys don't even know what type of set up they have so they didn't know they were looking at a modification. I am sure they are stronger than stock much because they were designed for an engine with 3 times the low end power. If anyone wants more info let me know. There no reason not to share money saving mods surely with the upkeep of an FD.

Fluidyne seems to have the best reputation for quality and fitment.

I'm running a Koyo, which did have some fitment issues but made a noticible difference in cooling abilities as well as time it takes to get the coolant up to running temps. Also, on cooler days (like 40-50f) at higher speeds I actually see the coolant temps drop a fair amount, a couple of times they have gotten down to the lower hash marks on the stock coolant gauge, although it isn't all that accurate from what I heard. Just food for thought.

Go with a Koyo and do a search on radiators. You will pull up a lot of information.
