I started the 7 for a few minutes yesterday and let it warm up to about 50-C and then I turned it off. I immediately noticed the radiator fans were still on. So temp, I have disconnected my battery, so it doesn’t get killed.

This morning I connect the battery and fans came on right away.

I suspect this is something to do with the fan relay.

I have searched here and on FD3S.net- there is nothing about the radiator fans staying on.

any chance the relays got wet? once i washed the car and wet a few relays (vented hood)and my driving lights stayed on also.

 

No-7 stays parked in the garage and I don't drive it in the rain.

Any other idea?

Just to clearify- fans come on even if the ignition is off..

 

What kind of ECU do you have? My fans stay on for about 2-5 minutes and shut off.
