radiator fans wont shut off

when the car is switched into "on" mode, they go off. when the key is removed, they go on, and dont shut off until the battery is dead. i searched but everyone elses is related to modded stuff. my car is completely stock.

Check the fan relays or the little black box next to the ecu. I had the same problem last weekend and somehow water go into that black box.

I am not sure if your model is the same as the Australian but on our there are 2 fans and 1 operates with the airconditioning and the other is engine temp. check the fan relays.

anyone? kinda sucks unplugging my battery everytime i park. i found the relays buy what am i looking for when i check them? i have an ohm meter, am i looking for continuity?

something's grounded out, they always have power. Check the fan relay connectors and relay box.

The manual fan switch mod does just this, grounds it out so they stay on.

A few months ago, I researched how the relays work. It turns out that some of them have power only when the car is turned on, and some always have power, even when the car is turned off.

If you don't already know how to use a multimeter to measure voltage, you might want to learn that first, or get help from someone who's already familiar with how electricity works.

You need to tell people if you removed the turbo timer yet or not.

Without that information, they're shooting in the dark.
