Radiator fan???

hey guys i just bought a fluidyne radiator and when i was installing it i noticed something awful....my fans are big pieces of sh....well you get the picture. now i thought they were fine until I experimented with them a little. and the one (5 blade) barely works while the 4 blade is just sitting there doing nothing. anyways right so i called mazda and they want $809.64 for the stock fan motors, blades and for the bracket. i need new blades and the mounting bracket because they are cracked, badly worn or just plain broken. i dont really want to reuse the old stuff. so my question for you guys is where can i get new fans that will use the stock mounting holes built into my radiator. thanks alot guys i reall need answer fast because a day without my 7 is like a day without air. well not really but i already miss it

There are no aftermarket fans that will exact fit the FD radiator. You'll have to screw around to get it to fit. Another thing is the stock fan and motor is very high output, I have not seen another type of fan that draws anywhere near the same amount of air as the stock ones.

Try the parts for sale section and ask some of the guys that are parting out cars. If you race you may also try mazda comp.

The stock fans move ~3200-3300 cfm.
Call Ray at Malloy Mazda (888-533-3400). He usually gives out a pretty steep price break for forum members. (mention the forum).

Why not try and get a used (5/7 blade) 99+ JDM set from www.JT-Imports.com or www.4jspec.com

Because there still is no proof (and I have major doubts) that they are superior to the stock fan setup.

^ those are the stock setup and since he wants to replace the complete set then why not get the more efficient version. If it draws less amps and pull just as much air, then aren't they more effcient? The blades would only pull more air on the old motors but he wants to chancgr the motors and bracket assembly.

So spend the money and time just to use a few less amps? When his current electrical system is built for the '93-95 fans?

Again, there is no definitive proof that fans move more air.
