I think they are similar if not identical. I've got a single tip and the only dual ones I heard were on youtube and not in real life, so I'm not 100% sure.

I love my single tip, it is almost as quiet as stock when cruising but when you open it up you definitely hear it. it doesn't sound ricey at all either.

I have the dual tip also. Very stock looking, and quiet when cruising, but sounds really sweet when you get on it.

Logic would suggest that they are indeed the same muffler other than the tips. But I don't know, just like most people.

This is just a suggestion. I know it really othere so please don't flame

ever thougth about just calling RB and asking them?
(714) 779-8677 M-F (8-5 PST).

That would get you the most precise info. Otherwise, all the answers you will most likely get are subject to interpretation.

just got off the phone with them and they said very very lil diff between the 2.. so im debating now if i get this exhaust.. single or dual..... it just seems a lil small for me compaired to the cat i have now... the owner before me added an hks dragger tip so its a huge opening at the end...

question now.. why did you choose your single/dual ?? and did you guys get it directly from RB?

My dual tip isn't much more quite than my N1. I had a resonated midpipe with each also. I need to figure out whats going on.

+1 for the duals.

IIRC, rx7store.net has both, unless something has changed recently.

I bought my dual direct from Racing Beat, went with dual because it looks almost stock and I had never heard the sound from a single before.

The single is slightly louder than the duals, but provides a very slightly better flow. I highly doubt it would even be a noticeable difference.

i had the RB single tip, DP and hiflow cat.

after i did the nonsequential mod i noticed the exhaust sounded a little "ricey" and was slightly loud, but i'm sure that was because of the full non-seq mod and no resonator.

I got my single tip from rx7store, I chose it over the dual tip because I liked the way it looked more so than the dual.

Wouldn't dual-tip provide more airflow due to the fact there's 2 pipe's instead of one?

it's still one main pipe divided into 2 with an internal "y"

It should since the two 3 in. pipes have a greater area than one 4 in. pipe. The split between the two pipes does introduce a restriction, though probably negligible.

I went dual since it looks close to stock and to avoid the ricer look.
