Racing Beat dual tip catback (question/comment)
I just got it in the mail the other day, put it on and wow...sounds great, looks great, what more could I ask for? How about this...there is a bracket on the passenger side (US) that does not connect to anything and there is no bracket or anything that came with the system. Am I missing something? The box was ripped half open when I got it so I was wondering if anything fell out on the way to my house. It stays up pretty good without anything holding up that side but looks like something is obviously missing.
Thanks,
Bryan

Yes there should be a rubber isolator that attaches to a bracket on the frame as well as a bracket off of the canister itself. I believe the bracket coming off the canister was to be taken off the original stock exhaust, though. I still have my original bracket when I replaced my stocker with a GT Spec style bullet canister last fall.
Oh I just found a pic somwhat illustrating that bracket:

yeah, any and all pics would help. My stock exhaust just had a bar that ran through a rubber gromet thing but there was no bracket like on the rb catback. does it matter that I have a 94? I might just fab something.
Thanks everyone!
Oh, and it is a lot quieter than the apexi n1 single. Not very quiet but senseable.

N3A1-40-290A is the part number for the bracket. Will cost you about $9 from your local mazda dealer. I ran into the same problem when I changed the Apexi Dual N1 to my RB Dual. Here is a pic of mine.

It's a very good exhaust on the FD. Car is quiet at idle, not annoying. ROARS at WOT.
I'm a forer N1 dual and HKS exhaust owner so I think overall the Racingbeat dual is my pick of choice.
but the WOT of the N1 dual on non-seq turbos at 15psi, oh man. talk about intimidating.
Ask Denguyen he'll tell you =D

Apexi gt spec with single @ WOT is amazing.. unreal even but at idle.. my neighbors do not like... doing a trade for the dual RB.. hopfully all goes well. Tired of my neighbors complainng to the leasing office.

The Racing Beat dual tip is my favorite cat-back, and I have seen and heard almost all of the other ones. The RB is subtle in looks (a big plus, IMO) and is among the quietest available. The quiet thing may not be appealing if this is your first mod, but these cars get very loud with mods, so people often end up switching to the quietest exhaust parts they can find later in the modification plan. Start with the RB dual tip and you'll probably keep it forever. I've got a single turbo, muffled midpipe, and the RB cat back, and I would be happy to make the car even more quiet.
I bought a Borla XR-1 Race muffler to put in the midpipe a while ago, but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet. I might do some ceramic coating on the downpipe and perhaps header wrap it after that to further reduce the noise. The car is pretty loud as it is, and I would love to make it quieter.
Non-seq turbos are also one of the mods that make the car really loud at idle and low speed cruising, so if that is in your future, start with the quietest stuff you can find that still flows reasonably well. The stock sequatial turbo system has the really nice feature of being like a two-stage exhaust system -- pretty quiet on the primary and then it roars when you open up into twin mode.

Oh yeah.
I have no cats and the Racing Beat dual on sequential turbos right now.
Very stock looking and subtle just like Max says which is a BIG plus in my book.
I'd rather have an understated presence than an overstated one. But being yellow kinda defeats that purpose.

I run a dp, mp, and the racing beat and it is very tolerable. Plus it looks more like stock, very subtle and nice. Much better than the single "huge" tip exhausts.

i have the racing beat duel tip with full exhaust, dp,mp etc... and i love the sound. It isn't loud at all rolling around town. But when you go WOT, look out, it's just WHOOSH..all this air coming out so fast haha. In any case, this is the ONLY exhaust i know of that you can run full exhaust, and not attract too much attention (looks/sound). Although i still blow flames etc.. hehe
