What rubber? That particular hanger is all metal, isn't it? (well, at least mine is...) It hangs in a rubber donut-style attachment to the body, so I can't see any advantage to having another layer of rubber there; besides, that muffler gets damn hot, and I could see it cooking any rubber directly contacting it before long.

Well....unless I am on drugs.......
Mine is a flat metal piece that is attached to a steel rod that hangs from the upper rubber donut thingy, and the flat metal piece has a 1/4" thick rubber pad on it.
I think....
Now you have ME wondering.....damn....and it is a few hours before I get home to check....lol!

Well, maybe the piece of rubber you speak of fell off of mine... It is a pretty old piece, after all...

Okay Kento...you are right....no rubber. It is steel....my bad!

Just got done going for my first drive....my GOD! The sound is just perfect....******* perfect. EXACTLY what I was wanting, nice and quiet with just a little deeper, more aggresive tone whilst idling about, but get on it and it howls like a Ferrari!
It just makes you want to be getting on it, ALL the time is the only problem....lol!

Exactly. Another plus (at least for those of us over in California) is that the exhaust tips appear stock, so law enforcement won't be inclined to roust you just because they think you have a "race" exhaust.
