raceported engine prices

where can i get the best price for a rebuilt raceported engine with 3mm apex seals for a 1994 rx-7 touring? probably a 13b engine or whatever fits inside the engine bay without any problems.

P.S. to all moderators please don't close this post for the same reason you always do about the search option cause i can't find anything about "raceported engine prices"

If you don't know what kind of motor your car has in it, you would most likely be exceeding your own knowledge and experience if you were to go with a raceport. I wouldn't recommend you be so ambitious with your choice of engine tuning if you don't know what you are doing. Also try searching for 3mm seals and information on them. You need to know more about them then just the idea that they're thicker.

Which then isn't really a 'street'port anymore.

street port is anything that modifies the size of the stock runners

when you bridge, you add additional secondary runners

when you j port, you add a larger bridge

Street Port = Stock Primaries, enlarged secondaries...

It doesn't matter what it's called. He's going with a ported 4rotor 13b with dual BOV's and an exhaust his neighbors won't hear, if you put his posts together.

that's not true or rather, it may be true by you, but most companies that rebuild motors port both the primaries and secondaries...

Yes, I was trying to simplify, if it's a true streetport, the primaries are enlarged by a bit, to increase airflow and not alter timing, the secondaries are altered by quite a lot since that's where most of the power sits...
Race Port doesn't care about smog / timing, is usually taken care of by programmable ECU, and therefore both sets of ports are altered...

i sold "austinsFD" my PowerFC

he msgd me telling me he found out how to make it have more horsepower

(he only has an intake and a cat back)

he said he set it to 1.10kg/cm2 and 90% on the boost screen, it uses a lot of gas but it's faster

I hope that's a joke, but I have a feeling it isn't.

you could tell he didnt know what he was doing when he said "or whatever fits"

if he doesnt know a port changes the internals and doesnt make the engine bigger, than he is driving the wrong car. i feel a new engine coming on!!

Actually i have seen this company that does porting. And for the RX-7 they call there smaller (of the two) increase in size a "street port" and they call their bigger increase a "race port". They claim there "street port" give a 25% hp increase over stock and there "race port" gives a 35% increase of hp over stock as well. When i saw stock i mean a totally stock car.
