race ported and 4 rotor conversion
how much base horse power would a race ported 3mm and a 4 rotor conversion engine give me for a 1994 rx-7 touring? and what engine type should i get for this kind of work?
please don't flame me from my recent posts about engines.

Get ready ...here they come.( the flames) Search the web for how many 4 rotor race prepped 3mm sealed engine's there are....NOT MANY IF ANY ( besides the 787b ..i think.) and even that wasn't a 13B 4 rotor correct fellas? This is not a feasible idea unless you can figure out and design all the necessary components needed.( which i have no flippin clue what that would take) Sorry

Didn't think I'd have to use this again so soon.
You should really just sell your car. FD requires alot more knowledge and experience than you have, and seem to be willing to take on. Please think of the car.

There is a quadrotor powered 3rd Gen RX7 which has just started racing in New Zealand - I don't have any information on how much power it is running at the moment, but having had very little strip time so far it has already run high 10s in this form so can't be doing too bad for power

The 787B had an R26B N/A 4-rotor engine, which produced roughly 700hp - and no, it wasn't derived from the 13B.
But theoretically, if you could manufacture an appropriate eccentric shaft (good luck!), and devise an effective engine management system for it, you could certainly make a 4-rotor engine with some ridiculous output. The real problem is putting that into an FD - ignoring the extensive modifications required to fit that large of a motor to the chassis, you would make the FD into a Viper (or worse) in terms of weight distribution, unless you perform even more extensive modifications to the chassis and relocate a good chunk of weight to the rear of the car. Then you have likely changed the center of gravity and roll center as well.
Bottom line is, unless you are an experienced automotive chassis engineer, you will end up completely screwing up the handling of the car.
If you're into drag racing (eek), it may not matter so much...

Here's a dyno sheet for that 4 rotor FD that Autotech did which is posted on their site:
And here's some Quicktime vids of them running the engine in the shop, which is still probably untuned at this early stage:

I think that dyno sheet is for the 20b not the 4 rotor.
1. If you look at the file name it's labelled as a 20b
2. The same sheet appears under the 20b project section.
