Race Gaz or not for boost?

Hi,
I was wondering if I did go with my plan of converting my FD with something around 16 pds of boost on stock turbo and motor, if I needed to run Race gaz or not? With the compression ratio and everything? What the maximum a Rotary can go with how much boost? Is there anywhere that has this information?

Thanks

You can boost 16 pounds on 94 octane. You do not need race gas to do this.

You can probably run it on 93 octane, but you better be tuned to do so. Injectors and Fuel computer are a must. This is also a lot of boost for the stock turbos, say bye bye in a while.

I've read that alot of people ran them for a year or 2 on 18 PSI in Non-seq. So I dont see why i would be asking too much. Whats the matter with those turbos anyways? Do they overheat?

"Alot of people"? Show us these "lot of people", please.

Running that much psi on the stock turbos puts them way past their efficiency range, and generates a tremendous amount of heat that goes straight into the intake temps. The shafts aren't made for that much rpm, and either melt from the heat or snap.
