R1 Vs. Touring seats

I have a pair of R1 seats...but personally, I like the touring leather seats better. Would it be a stupid idea to trade the my R1 seats with someone else's tan or black touring seats????

Not a stupid idea, but most people would want the opposite. The R1 seats tend to you better while cornering. But ****, if you want the slippery leathers go nuts. Its your choice. Im sure if you posted this in the forsale section you would get somebody to do the swap.

Personally, I always thought the whole statement behind the R-1 seat material was a joke (not that I think it is bad material) and there is a somewhat of a "cool factor" to say that is why they are made that way, but let's be real, just how far can you slide left or right on the seats in these cars?

Think about it,
Joe

I have a R1 and a touring and I am looking for the R1 seats. I have even bought a super nice set of after market seats and they are better than leather but I am a big guy so the R1 helps me out and holds me in better. I will trade for your just shoot me an emal or PM. Halfshaft5@aol.com

sDylish,

Base seats are cloth (as opposed to the "suede-esque" material used for the R1 seats.

There is on type/patter on the seat inserts and a different cloth / pattern on the bolsters / top of the seat.

I like them since they grip better than the leather, don't burn you when they get hot in the sun, and the price was right for me :-) I just re-skinned the seats myself with the seat skins (I had tan leather before).
