R1 or not?
Is my car an R1 or not? It's a 93 with leather, sunroof and rear wiper.
But it has also got twin oil coolers, OEM strut brace and R1 front lip w/brake ducts. Is there anything else that the R1 was equipped with?

Most likely not. No R1's were equipped with leather, sunroof or a rear wiper and I don't think anyone in their right mind would go through the trouble of adding these. It's most likely a touring model that has been given the R1 upgrades.

You're probably on to something there Jspec. Must be some sort of european version. Would have been better if it was an R1 though, sounds much cooler! What do the US Vin start with? Mine is like: JMZFD13B2001*****

I've seen British cars that have both R-1 and Touring features. They had the faux-suede seats, strut tower brace, and spoilers, but also a sunroof. And they came that way from the factory. The Europeans got a different option package than the U.S. did. I don't think we here in the States know whether your car has the other true R-1 features such as the second oil cooler and the firmer suspension.
The best I can tell you is to look at the sticker in the passenger side door jamb. On my car under Suspension it says "Std S" . See if your's says something like Sport or R-1.
