r1 with no motor, now what?
OK, I bought an r1 with a bad motor and turbo's and everything was removed when I bought it. here will be a gt35r, power fc, v mount intercooler, radiator so on and and so fourth going in. My question is what should I be doing in the meantime with the motor out? I already removed the secondary butterflies, now what? thanks for the help guys.BTW this is my irst rotary build but I'm a turbo car veteran.

Have all your coolant hoses replaced, trust me.
Depending on the condition of you engine bay you may want to repaint it.
Install Block off plates
Ceramic coat the upper and lower manifolds as well as your down pipe.

Take a pressure washer and pressure wash the engine bay, and underneath the car. 13B's all seem to leak oil and the lower half of the engine bay, and tranny tunnel are all disgustingly nasty.
Yes, do replace the oil injection lines with SS ones (about $100). Don't forget to replace the stock oil metering injectors with the upgraded ones. The originals tend to have all oil sucked dry during extreme boosting, creating momentary oil lube starvation to apex seals.
Replace all coolant lines, especially the ones for the turbos, because you don't want that area leaking. And its a bitch to replace once the engine is back in the bay.
