I've never used Synthetic in any of my 7s, but after reading some of the other recent posts on the subject, I'll be thinking about it for next year (Here in MA it's almost time to put her away for the winter). Anyway, for those using 20w50, could you enlighten me on the benefits of using it.

Budweiser!?!? I thought you guys liked beer. if you want some Bud then I'll **** in a 6 pack & send it your way

Why do Mazda Remanufactured engine blocks come with a tag on them that states: "Use of any synthetic oil will automatically void warranty."

Because they do, you know.

I've been using Redline 20/50 and have had great results. Oil pressure is higher, oil temps lower and much better for the turbo. If you run synthetic, you should run pre-mix. Actually you should it run regardless. It can only help.

Hmmmm beer.

I'm going to Octoberfest in Munich next weekend. I will be drinking large quantities of REAL beer.

The use of non-synthetic just isn't an option for me. I live in S. Florida where it's 95 degrees year round (except for that two weeks in January when all your grandparents come down to visit me) and the added peace of mind is worth it. I do also run synthetic two-stroke, marine. Pennzoil. The fact that I regularly race my vehicle and use it on a daily basis also pushes me towards synth. And if Racing Beat says Royal Purple is ok, then that's enough info for me. Because they DO have enough money to test these things properly :-)
