Quiet Exhaust?

is there any exhaust for the FD that is actually not obsurdly loud? I've heard the Apexi N1 and that is extremely loud. I was wondering if most exhausts are like that for the FD?

oh and does anyone have the HKS cf/titanium hiper? I was looking at that one...but i haven't heard about it yet.

the racing beat and M2 cat backs aren't bad. Just make sure you keep a cat on there and the noise levels aren't that bad at all.

my HKS Super Dragger isn't to loud,
even with a midpipe. But screams
over 4kRPM like any other exhaust.

You probaby can get them cheap these days.

They dont flow as good as others BUT.
It isn't a bad thing when you open up
your exhaust, i would assume it would
help with boost spikes.

If you go single turbo, then it gets REALLY loud. I ended up swapping my N1 Dual for a RB Dual becasue I could not stand the noise (w/ hi flow cat), and it's much better now - but still wish it was a little bit more quiet when getting on it. Guess I'm getting old.

Isn't the GReddy SP one of the quieter exhausts too? Probally a bit more loud than the Racing Beat or M2 though.

ive heard the titanium racing as well as the titanium/carbon fiber one. the racing is proabably the loudest out there its 4" piping from the dp back. the titanium/carbon is loud but significantly quieter than the racing because its just a cat back and has a smaller diameter piping. the titanuim/carbon is a little louder than the n1. but if you are looking for a quiet exaust with good flow, like the otherguys said, go with the RB or the M2.

I have the Titanium RE-Amemiya exhaust. Its probably the quietest one I have been besides the stock exhaust.
Little pricey, but nice POWER still, Good responce, and no anoying rumble.....

Thumbs up Nice data Inukai

I thought I read the Blitz was 98db and the N1 93db in some british mag, oh well.

Inukai, Do you have any info on the Buddy Club?

CanMan, I didn't see the RE exhaust on your web site. Does RE use RE exhaust?

Do you guys know how they flow? Backpressure, mid range, high end, etc?

GOracer, The RE exhaust is RE, is was a special design by RE-amemiyasan, because of the loud exhaust of other companies.. The flow is outstanding.......

Buddyclub, has 3 different exhaust.. I can see about asking too...

so you mean to tell me that none of these exhaust systems are legal under the 95db regulation in california? ****, my straight thru-to-apex n1 exhaust must shoot out like 120db!!! what does the stock exhaust rate from that source? are their ratings reputable?

Thumbs up Thanks guys

I think we'd all be interested on what you guys actually use in Japan, since you have access to all the top tuners.

I am interested in Buddy Club Spec 3 (all stainless steel)and JIC Magic 1/2 titanium & 1/2 stainless steel. The RE Amamiya sounds pretty nice to, any pics or audio clips?
