Will replacing the rear strut mounts on an FD affect the alignment?

Well first off, the FD has shocks, not struts. The alignment should not be affected if you are only changing the shocks. However, if those shocks have adjustable perches like Koni's, then you can effect the alignment as ride height changes do affect the alignment.

Ok im having some trouble removing the rear shocks... How in the world do they come out?? I disassembled the top section of the mount, and removed the 1 long bolt which holds the bottom of the shock in place.

I am now able to move the shock around but I dont know how it comes out does anybody know?

Push the rear suspension arm downward to allow clearance for the lower shock mount to disengage and swing outward and then lower the shock. The arm has sleeves that push inward - effectively "pinching" the lower shock mount in place.

I already removed the shock from the lower shock mount and slide the bolt out. At this point there is nothing left to disassemble on the shock,( its free) but the problem im having is that im unable to remove the shock from the car, because the lower section of the shock is hitting the mounting arm. Am I suppose to pry down somehow to get it out? this is frustrating

Here is a picture as you can see the shock is free, but I cant remove it. Do I have to remove anything else to get the shock out?
