Quick Questions Regarding Working On A Engine.

If lets say you park your car, and decide to work on it for 5-6 months putting on FMIC, Single turbo etc....Should you drain your oil out of your car? How long car you engine sit w/o oil/coolant in it? Im just wondering about rust, and the engines internals.

Dont bash. Just wondering thats all. I LOVE YOU GUYS.

The prevailing advice is to not worry about it. The bigger danger would be old and reactive fluids in the engine.

Gas is different. Put in some fuel stabilizer on the last fill-up.

If the engine is just going to sit for that long, I would manually turn the e- shaft 1 turn every month so that the apex seal spring tension would vary.

Just as you would a piston engine so the valve springs would not stay in one position too long.
