You shouldn't need the hangar once the dp is bolted on.

I suggest wrapping it first before putting it on. Helps decrease the heat into the engine bay.

I think you can get the heat wrap at pep boys or discount auto, etc.

Otherwise go online and search.

Getting it coated would be the best option, though more expensive.

no hanger is needed. You don't need to wrap it though it is a good idea. Even without the wrap, you will be cooling your engine bay better than the stock precat

What is wrong with you Glass Man? Where you inlightned today and realized our cars are killing the ozone? Don't worry. The ozone thing isn't forever, it's just a phase (so my Auto tech teacher says).

I think Glassman is yankin' your chains, guys.

He knows that the precat is ONLY usefull for cleaning up at cold start, and that is probably .0005 percent of your driving time. The other cat does the job for all the tree huggers once it is warmed up.

He also knows that the only reason it is there is to satisfy the Fed's requirements which are quite frankly sort of strange. Who sniffs a car during cold start?
No one. Just don't advertise your mod by having it highly polished or jet coated bright red. Wrapping it and spraying it with ceramic spray paint will make it look "stock" enough.

Don't throw out the old precat! You'll wish you had it when you sell your car to a tree hugger!
