Quick question about ECU's

Is the 93 ECU Different from California to the other 49 states. I would think that some of the emisions would be different.

Will a pettit ECU work from a non cali car in a cali car?

Quick responses would be appreciated
Brandon

The 93 cali ecu is setup for an electronic EGR. The rest of the states have a manual EGR. IF you change the EGR then it would work fine.

So I guess if the cali car had no EGR it wouldn't make any diference, correct.

The thing is I just sold my pettit ECU to some one in cali, But they are not worried about Passing emisions anyway.

Correct, if the EGR is blocked off then it will not make any difference. If it is not then they just need to install a non-cali 93 EGR and they will be good to go.
