quick question about dontbearikki non seq.

On step 5 in don't be a rikki's non seq setup, from what i understand it says i have to use either the turbo precontrol or wastegate control soliniod and plug the lines to the one im not using. my question is: do i unplug the electrical plug on the solenoid i am not using also or do i unplug both of them? thanks

I JUST HAD THIS ISSUE.....

Stick a screw in, and zip-tie the two hoses from the right solenoid. Keep both clips plugged in. whether you switch the clips, has been debated. Try it both ways.

Or just use a manual boost controller and get rid of those 2 solenoids all together.

I have an add on quesiton to the above.

When splicing the charge relief valve to the charge control valve, there are three hoses on the CCV:
The large hose on the firewall side, the large hose on the front of the car side, and the small hose on the firewall side. Do I plug both the large hoses? If so, how would any of you suggest plugging the one going to the intake(front of car)?

I already have a manual boost controller and a pre-spool controller. Will this effect anything when going non-seq?? Should i still leave those two solenoid electrical plugs in?

ALso should i fully close my manuel pre-spool controller when going non-seq? or does it not matter

One more thing, on dontbearikki's site he says you can use either soleniod (turbo precontrol, or wastegate control). Which soleniod do most of you non-seq guys plug up? thanks

You will no longer need the pre spool controller. You will not even need the hoses the pre spool controller connect to when you do the non seq mod.
You can unplug them, but you might need to put resistors on the connections to prevent a CEL.

No 911gt2, You leave the large lines as they are.The rear goes to the y pipe. You can actually just let the one at the front just vent to open air if you like. Then small one is the one that you splice into the charge relief valve.

i think what you are looking at is the CRV (looks like a bov). the CCV is something different and sits above the Y pipe with 2 small vacuum hoses going to it. plug those. As for the CRV (charge relief valve) take a metal T and splice into the small vaccum line that runs off the BOV and plug the CRV vacuum line into it.

or you could just take the CRV off and put a rubber-end- of-a-stool thing with a hose clamp to seal the hole from where you took the CRV off of. This is what i did since i have an HKS BOV ... i did not want the CRV and HKS bov opening at the same time, i just wanna hear my hks.
Just to be sure that is ok guys right???

Ok thanks for clarity. I thought the CCV was the BOV, wow, that helps a LOT!!

just thought id share....
i just finished my non-seq setup and i love it so far. I get a nice 10 psi boost till redline and my car flies!!!
As for weather its louder or not... i would say its a little louder at idle but from 3-5 rpms the sound really changes from seq. you hear more of a loud exhaust then the turbos spooling up, which i miss alot!! But it still sounds great. lag is not really an issue since i have an open exhaust and an intake. thank you dontbearikki for the awesome write up of how to do this.

one question does anyone know for SURE what to do about the electrical plugs that go on to the wastegate and turbo precontrol solioniods? i left them both in and plugged the 2 vaccum hoses that go to the wastegate control solenoid.

Leave them connected, but swap them. Plug the left electrical connector into the right hole, and the right electrical connector into the left hole.

Should i remove the pressure chamber and plug the lines? or will it not matter cus there's no TCA anyways.
