This post is silly....you're going to get a hundred different answers because everyone has a different opinion.....there are dozens of threads about this.

If you "don't want a debate", just follow the owner's manual and put in 10w30 dyno juice. Castrol is good. If you want your turbos to last longer, use synthetic 10w30 (Mobil One).

It depends on your usual weather conditions as well, if you're in a hot area which you are, you are better off using 20/50 heavy oil.

Mobil doesn't make dyno juice.....Castrol makes good dyno juice.

BTW, California isn't necessarily a hot climate. The Bay Area gets down into the 30s and 40s in winter, which is way too cold for 20w50 oil.

Mobil makes dino juice.

"Mobil 1" is their brand name for their high performance synthetic oil, and is what most people are talking about when they mention oils from Mobil.

My bad. I don't recall ever seeing any Mobil dino juice for sale anywhere. Thanks for the clarification.

Hmm...

Funny.

The thing is, Doesn't the FD spray the oil into the bay that gets burnt off so its not good to use synth?

Since its synth, isn't it going to leave a bit of ash in the engine?

Pretty much the reason why I don't use Mobil 1 and just Pennzoil or Castrol
