quick progress rundown...
Well, I bought my 93 SSM/Red touring in august of 06 after selling my supraTT. Bought here from a member. drove it about 50 miles, and an apex went good bye. I have the new reman from fritz, just got everything assembled on it. replaced all coolant hoses on the motor and in the engine bay as well. Removed emissions. I have been doing a lot of research and talking with a lot of members about things and learning a ton. I had my supra for 6 years and knew them in and out. I am going with a stock intake, DP, gutted cat and HKS carb-ti for the exhaust setup. stock IC as well. had * injectors rebuilt for my own "feel better knowing they're clean" purpose. I know many have their opinions on boost creep, but with this setup at stock boost, I have come to learn that if I need to use a restrictor plate in the exhaust, then I will just go that route IF creep is an issue.
At this point, I simplified the seq. system and just need to put the UIM on. tranny is on now and it is ready to go back into the car. Just an update to let people know what is goin on in my life here in omaha, NE. If anyone local wants to lend a hand putting it in, let me know!

I would run a restricting plate in your exhaust anyways.. and you might as well go with a midpipe (resonated will be much quieter) if you are going that route. save the weight.
Possibly think about a PFC in the near future.

Stick with your stock gutted cat for now and see how it runs. The stock diameter of the exhaust through the stock cat is smaller than a regular 3" mid pipe or resonated mid pipe and that will hopefully allow you to better control your boost. IIRC, the stock inner diameter is around 2 - 2.5". I think Dale Clark might have measured it once.
I have a hard time controlling boost on a full 3" open exhaust even with a boost controller using a resonated mid pipe.

That's good news Trev. I was wondering what you decided to do re: exhaust. I guess it does makes sense to try the least expensive things first and I hadn't considered the smaller diameter of the inlet/outlet on the stock cat. It may be enough to avoid creep, though possibly a little loud (er) and smelly. I know I'll envy your emissions simplification.
Now get it up and running. Lets go for a drive and then a group FD photo in front of ManTown.
