quick help with transmission.

I reassembled the tranny after the clutch for fell out...heres the problem should I reinsert the wedge collar into the clutch first...ooooooooorrrrr...do I slide it over the throw out bearing and then try and push it in? Becasue I am having trouble putting it back in now that it is all mounted.

No, the wedge collar needs to be pushed into the Pressure Plate/Clutch side before you mate up the tranny. Once you have mated the tranny, you then push the throw-out bearing into it.

If you connected up the slave cylinder already, you may have a diffcult time pushing the throw-out bearing since it will have some pressure built up. I typically leave the slave disconnected or just undo the clutch line up in the engine bay area to remove the pressure on the slave cylinder.

Yep.

It's doubful you'll get enough even pressure around the ring to push it into the pressure plate without dropping the tranny. I tried it and ended up damaging the wedge collar. Had I taken the extra time to drop the tranny, it would have saved me the 4-5 days I had to wait for the replacement (as well as the tow bill from when the collar failed).
