Finally did it. I bought one.
This past weekend. A '93 base. 78k on the odo, engine replaced at 66k. Already has some upgrades (downpipe, turbo timer, silicone lines, catback, drilled rotors, new clutch) and it's in fantastic shape. No problems anywhere as far as I can tell.
EDIT: I just thought of one problem...
The car intimidates the hell out of me right now because I've done my homework and I know how finicky they can be, but I've wanted one since 1993, and I figured it was time.
Sorry about the semi-shitty pic. I'll post more as soon as I get a chance to take some.

BTW what are those stickers in the center of your windshield?
I wish I could say the same about wanting one since 1993, but at that time, I was all of 11 years old. Although, I was always into Japan turbo sports cars: Sups, 300ZXs, FDs, MR2s (dont know about 3000gts) at the same time my friends were into civics and other rubbish economy cars.

I'm a little older than you. I was 18 when the FD was first introduced here, and I immediately fell in love with its look. It was, and still is IMHO, one of the most beautiful cars ever built.

It will block some air flow to the rad. though otherwise keeping it like that will be better for the bumper.
I'd take the front plate and bracket out completely anyway.
Congrats on your purchase, beautifull ride man, good luck with her.

looks good man, don't go crazy and wreck it, but don't let it intimidate you either. anything that happens, you (with the help of the forum) will be fully capable of fixing yourself. No reason to pay a shop to fix things, how else will you learn about the car?
Drive it and enjoy it, but only on the really nice days
oh and since you have a stock wing, i would reccomend picking up an R1 or 99 spec front lip to accent to front. looks good!

Congratulations on the new purchase! Take care of her and she'll take care of you (okay, that's a lie, the truth is you'll take care of her and she'll kick you in the *****, and then kick you again when you're down.... ). Good luck.
