Quick 99 spec turbo dyno results

eh....there was a "dyno day" today and headed out there to see what numbers I had.

This was the complimentary "post rebuild tune". I plan to do another tune and have Steve do it and see what he can do...and still be safe

Mods...
um alot.
1300 sec
under drive main
HKS ign amp
street port
knightsport metallic cat...NO MID PIPE!!
RB dual cat back
blah blah blah....I don't even remember any more

the first sheet was on low boost! I forgot to change my boost controller to high
the first pull he did in 4th gear...the rest 3rd gear pulls. After I figured I made 300 on low boost had them rerun on high boost.

The second sheet was in high boost but their computer of course messed up so no torque values.

I had the water inj on....for safety. Running 50:50 water:methanol. But plan to have Steve "tune" for it here if the future. The runs were mainly to see where "I am at"

I was just hoping for 330 so I was close. 350 would be nice. I think Tim Benton and Manny (sleepr1) had some ungodly numbers on their 99 spec...like 380 ish.

I was also happy to see these numbers with the metal cat and RB duals. Nice to know I can pass smog, not blow out my ear drums, and still get some good hp.

I'm hoping after Steve's tune I can get to 350. I think my inj duty was only at 65?? Can't remember.

Manny might have, but my best around 1 bar was 363 to the rear wheel. It looks like you were in the 10.5 range for A/F ratios and it comes up to about 11 at red line...is that about right since it's kinda hard to tell.

Tim,

it's hard to tell....the first run in blue looks like it's heading lean the other two are around the 11 mark according to the scale.

I do have a dual stage WI and that might have affect the results? The second stage comes on right now at 10 psi. First 4 psi.

I just want to make sure. When you say 99 spec turbos, you do mean 280 twins with the special seals right?

I'm also guessing you have upgraded IC and intakes?? Can you tell me which ones?
I'm asking all these because the knightsport flows pretty well and RB's are good flowing exhaust.

Are you still running airpump? I would of thought you would of made at least mid 300's. Just trying to see what might of happened. Do you have better A/F pic?

Yes the 99 spec 280 abraidable seals...

ASP medium IC, M2 CF intake, still with airpump. I'm really hoping it was just tuning in regards to the hp.

I can take another pic of just the af area during the 300hp runs if you would like.

Yea but you had stock ports IIRC. Still impressive!

here is the dyno database to compare other 99 spec runs
