Questions on tuning
ALready posted in PFC forum but no replies
Just wondering if PFC is tuned for these mods...
Midpipe, Downpipe
Also, does BNR stage 2 turbos need special tuning or not?
Here was the plan...Leave everything basemap except for upgrading to 1300cc injectors.
Mods: 255lph walbro fuel pump, 1300cc injectors, act s/s clutch, mp/dp, enfini y, greddy smic, bnr 2's, CB, koyo radiator, alum AST, apexi intake.
If I leave everything base map except for the 1300cc injector upgrade should I be safe or be running dangerous? Also what A/F ratio is best for max performance without worrying about BOOM?

It is not a good idea to run the PFC without tuning. It is in theory tuned for dp, mp, catback, but that just means it's rich throughout the rev range.
Is it ok to drive on? Yeah, but stay out of the boost until you can get it tuned. And you'll need someone who knows what they're doing to tell it you have 1300cc injectors.
Most tuners look for mid to low 11s AFR

It's not hard to figure out how to set the 1300s in the PFC. But you will need to find someone to tune it since you change injectors. I went from 850cc primary down to 550 cc primary and that changed my a/f's quite a bit.

This might sound newB'ish of me but as long as I can research the PFC enough to learn how to tell it that 1300cc injectors are in my car and then dick with my duty cylce on the injectors to get the AF ratio to mid to low 11's shouldnt the set-up be fine? Or is there something big I am overlooking? I want to be able to tune my own car because I do have the commander and will soon get the datalogit to do so and I want to be able to make maps for it myself.

I know there is an obvious risk in dicking with tuning myself. But the fact is I want to try. So instead of pointing out the obvious like "you'll run the risk of blowing your engine if YOU tune it" I am looking for someone who can help me with DETAILS on the task. Besides how many times have you heard "My car blew on the dyno" and that is with a professional tuner. SO yea there is a risk both ways, more with myself obviosuly. Back to the original Question...if I learn how to tell the PFC that I have 1300cc injectors and dick with the duty cycle on the injectors to get down to mid to low 11's AFR what else do I need to worry about? In theory that should work..but obviously "in theory" isnt "in reality". Any help is appreciated.

I think you have the right attitude about it. You know it has the potential for error but at the same time know it's not rocket science.
I suggest you send some PMs to cewrx7r1.
Read through the entire ECU forum on both RX7C and NoPistons.
