Question on Vacuum Hose connecting to Catch Tank

I'm trying to start my freshly rebuild engine and When I try, The vacuum hose that is attached to the Catch Tank pops off and fuel squirts out. I then zip tied it and the hose just busted. Is there supposed to be fuel coming out of the front of the Catch Tank. If not, why is it? Is my Catch Tank bad, or am I missing something some where else?

You have the line from the fuel tank mixed up... the line from the fuel pump is on the hard line to the vapor recovery system ..

The hard line closest to the firewall goes to the top hard line on the engine, the hard line farthest from the firewall goes to the hard line farthest forward on the engine.

your fuel pump is sending fuel down your fuel vapor line...recheck your lines.
