Question on a turbo vacuum line.

Hey guys, im about to put my engine back back in the rx7 and noticed one of the vacuum connectors (circled in red) going into the turbo is loose. Wanted to get someones opinion if that would be ok. These turbos have been non-sequentialized and on my stock pair of turbos this piece is pressed in and doesnt budge.

Should I get a new one since it could be a source of boost leak? any help is appreciated.

not only is it a source of boost leak but it also provides the boost to open up the wastegate, if this come out, you will end up full boost

Ya I was figuring that it definitely could have that possiblity.. Would anyone know if a part like this is something I can even buy? I have another set of turbos too, but that piece is pressed in there good, dont want to ruin it.

any ideas? thanks!

I seriously doubt that you could but this piece alone. I'm not sure JB Weld could take the heat either. Perhaps weld around the circumference of the plug.

Ya jb weld doesnt recommend that kind of heat, or that would be a good idea. It sucks cause I just installed everything in the car, just to realize it.

I would assume welding would be the only way to be sure it wont come off...

what if i just got rid of that part, and just pressed in a vacuum barb with the same diameter as the hole so I can connect the wastegate. Since im going non-seq i dont need the pre control actuator hooked up.
