question: turbo II turbos?

My friend with a turbo II that is getting a bigger turbo was telling me something about adapting (two) turbo II turbos onto an fd....
is that possible?
he was saying it would be good for around 500hp
if it is, i can pick up two rebuilt turbo II turbos for 150$ and would be willing to do it since i know people that can weld cast iron and fabricate the piping i would need.

would there be any gain from it?

To my knowledge, no one has done it. That would be a pretty substantial amount of fab work to make that happen - it's FAR from a bolt on. The manifold and downpipe would be a real chore.

It's also hard to say if you'd end up with anything worthwhile for your efforts.

Regardless, this would not be a cheap solution. The two turbos would be the least of the expense for the project - making a quality manifold and downpipe, fabbing oil and water lines, etc. would be a HUGE project.

Anything can be done, if you have enough money. RX-7 Store used to sell a custom twin turbo set. This kit was parallel, not sequential though.

They would have to be run FULLY non-seq (like the rx7store kit). Not worth the time and effort in my book.

Yeah we need some of those VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) turbo's from the 2007 Porsche, on second thought one big one would do the trick.
