i'm looking at getting the CWR or large m2 intercooler. i have heard about rubbing on the hood. i have the mazda speed hood.

does the CWR large, med m2 kit work with the mazda speed hood?

Dunno of this will help. I have a CWR IC with a Knightsports hood. But hey you never know.

http://www.negative-camber.org/crispyrx7/hood.htm

A few cuts were needed to clear the hood.

FWIW,
Crispy

I have both the MazdaSpeed hood and the CWR IC. The piping fits with strut bar w/o requiring denting it. Fitmint with hood rubs a little. However, I did re-use the support brackets along with the duct. I suppose if I were to just rest the IC on the steering rack cross member, it may be low enough to clear. BTW, I also have an N-Tech BMK, so battery relocation is not required (using CWR cold air intake).

Crispy's installation is awesome!!

So whats up with the inlet duct for that intercooler, are you the only one that got one. Or did they get them out to everyone by now.Do they still make that intercooler, and if so, If I ordered one would I get the duct. Also I agree about your car looking bad ***, bas is a fish, spelled wrong.Fishes asses look different.

The CWR is two rows deeper than the M2. I don't know if Duane has updated the core used, but it's the same core as the old M2 Large design. M2 just cut two rows off. They've since updated the core design. Some people did not ever get ducts. For fitment, I have pretty much identical experiences to Hedge although my pipe design required that the passenger's side IC pipe be dented to clear a Cusco strut tower bar. Using a 90 degree silicone elbow would have solved that problem. The core size can be seen on CWR's web page too (crookedwillow.com) and FWIW, that's my car pictured with the IC/CWR intake. I've since switched to a front mount however, along with a big single turbo. Wish I would have kept the CWR IC.
