Can anyone confirm which lights, ***** etc in the cabin illuminate green on the series 8?
I know the climate controls should be green and the main gauge cluster, but what about the center controls by the shifter, cigarette tray lights etc...

 

In my car all of the ***** and lights are orange...even the main gauge cluster and the centre console...lol i have had a series 8 rx7 for 8 years and i still had to think twice to try to remember if all the ***** are orange lol

 

I was under the impression that the interior lights were changed over to green in the 99-02 cars. Am I mistaken?

 

Well I don't know if it was for select special models or anything. But in my 2001 Fd the interior lights are orange. I have a regular "type-R" model series 8. I have a couple friends with series 8 rx7s as well and one with a spirit r so I can ask them and let you know tomorrow.

 

That would be great, It might be something that was only done on the 1999 model year, I obviously don't know. I have a green gauge cluster and green climate controls but I'm not sure if the remaining interior lights ever came in green. So I need to find out which year or models they came on so I can track them down. Any insight would be helpful.

Okay so I need to find the console lights. What about the ashtray?

 

None of the bulbs are green. There is a green film on the back of each dash clock

 

96-2000 interior light is green. 2001-2002 interior light is red

 

Yea I meant the console lights as in the buttons down by the shifter.

 

That's the info I needed! Now any chance I could pay one of you guys with access to 96-2000 fd's to sell me some parts ???


I have to wonder if my local Mazda parts man Ray Crowe can get these pieces.

 

just confirmed with a couple of my friends, the series 8 interior lights are orange/red

 

Not all, most '99's with the black cluster are green backlit. All post 2001 rex's with the white or spirit r dials are amber.
