Do not underrate the JDM fanboys with lots of money

This may sound like somewhat of a joke, but being accustomed to internet humor and Japanese culture (I do not watch anime, I do not like a great majority or have time to watch it.) I can see that there are many kids with lots of money who are obsessed with Japanese culture and getting laid by Japanese women. You may think these are few and far between but it is one of the most popular ones to "fall in line with".

And in Japan, many families teach their daughters to find a "salaryman" or sarary man, as I am sure you have all heard that. That is about a $95,000~ salary in US give or change a lot with the dollar and all. about 100,000 en.

Anyways the RX7 has been featured in ANIME and has been ingrained into the hearts of the young ones who are now getting mostly IT/introvert type jobs.

99SPEC sells! The JDM look alone screams young fast one to many. If its completely clean and in straight JDM yo, It will be snatched up. RX7 plate must be included. Factory lip. 99spec wing, as featured in pics. Except use TE-37 or some very common fantasized over wheel and you could fetch a crazy price. Oh wait 2 years to do this. Just because of gas prices, people fear they can no longer save money when I guess they forget their own driving patterns and simple math.

Destroying the radiator supports/condenser/AC lines/harnesses to put a FMIC on a car, that's a problem.

Downpipe and an upgraded SMIC, no big deal as long as nothing was cut up to put on the SMIC.
If everything is done correctly installing a FMIC, you can change it back to factory if you please. That was one thing I thought about when building my car, I wanted to make sure if I ever wanted to sell the car, it could have all the factory components reinstalled without a problem.

An extremely clean fd with 140k miles will sell for more than a decent fd with 60-80k miles. It is extremely hard to find a nice example of a quality fd these days.

I sold a near stock 94 black/black r2 with 68k miles for $16,900.00 then 1 month later sold a 94 black/black r2 with 138k miles and extremely nicely modded and maintained for $25,500.00.

Just pm me the details on your car and I will tell you what to realistically expect to get from it, hopefully it wont burst your bubble.

About not under estimating the JDM fan bois I have to totally agree. Last year at nopi some guy was talking to me about buying an fd and I told him about a couple cars that were in his price range and one was near mint and I was asking around $15k for it at the time.

Some RHD fd shows up that was in pretty rough shape to say the least(needed a new paint job and a good bit of body work) and the guy bought it on the spot for $16k because it was RHD. I tried explaining how it wouldnt hold its value but I didnt want to ruin the sale for the other guy, it didnt matter to me one way or the other.

Kinda like the guys who pay $80-100k for a r34 skyline only to realize it is just a mid 13 sec car from the factory like the fd and supra. It is a great car no doubt, but $80-100k?, not in my opinion. A car is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay.

I completely agree. With everyone going crazy because of the recession, the average buyer is not willing to pay money for a gas guzzling sports car seeing as they are all trying to cut "extra" expenses. So any car that is seen as a "toy" will be hard to sell.

I bought my car for 16,000 not too long ago. And now I finally found a seller for 11,200. My asking price was 13,000. It kills me to sell my baby but I recently lost my job and due to bad financial planning, I am in need of money. Well the buyer is supposed to pick the car up next week. We see what happens

appreciate it...looks like I am going to attempt to get rid of it. I just can't bring myself to modding a care in the condition that it is in. I want to really bad like my previous 7 but that was not in as good condiont when I first bought it and was some what heavily modified. I want to build "my" car but cant rape a near poster pic of what an rx7 used to be when it debuted back in the day
