question for people with greddy smic

anybody have the greddy smic, used the stock duct first, then switched to making your own duct, if so any noticeable improvement? i'm going to put in a greddy smic soon, curious if it's worth the effort to make/get a duct. i don't plan on running that much boost, so i'm thinking for me it won't really matter, but maybe someone can tell me otherwise.

thanks

When I installed the Greddy unit, I didn't like the way it mated to the stock duct. There was about a 1/2" gap between where the IC naturally rested (pipes attached and bolted down) and the stock duct. The IC really does need air forced THROUGH it, so having a duct that seals around the IC is important, IMO. I ended up getting the Pettit duct and cutting/sanding it to fit with some thermal tape.

Check with Batman, I think he's got the Greddy SMIC, but I dunno about his pipes.
