Question for the long timers..
I am curious how many miles you guys have on your 3rd gens now?
I am really only interested in hearing from the guys who have been around for a few years. Say people who have been members since 2003 and earlier.
Mine is at 77k. Bought it at 40k in Dec. 1999.

Got mine in early '98 or perhaps '97.......been a while. I've put about 40K miles on it and started at 46K miles 2nd motor and need a new one again. This car I would have burned on the street or thrown over a clif if it wasn't so fun to drive and so good looking.

Hey Dave
I bought mine in the very end of 2002 (New Year's Eve to be exact) She had 67,000 miles on her. I daily drove her for 8 months or so, and quickly realized that wasn't very practical. Since then, she's seen prob 2K - 3K miles a year at the most...and the only way the miles are really racking up are by driving to shows and meets that are several states away... She's currently got 91,000 on her.

I put 70K on my RX7 since August 2001. Seems I dirve it more than most. It has quite reliable, only needed toe links and trailing arms. The rest of it was elective surgery.

Bought mine new year's eve of 1998 with 27k miles, now she sits at 112k miles. I daily drove the FD during my first 3 years in the army, now I am lucky to drive her twice a month.....a company car with a free gas card, and living in a different state than the one you store the FD in will do that to ya

Bought mine after an engine fire and sitting for about 5 years in Aug. 2002. It had just turned over 60K and currently sits at almost 71K now. It did not run much for the first couple years. Most miles now are driving to shows and meets.

picked up my FD is late summer '98 with 11k miles, bone stock and pristine shape (original tires and battery), I drove it for 2 years (alot) and then did the usual downpipe, cat back, and Pettit ECU upgrade....all was well until I put the mipipe on in 2002 and then boost creep killed my (at that time) very reliable stock motor with 55k miles
engine #2: put in a reman and popped that, too (boost creep again, on Pettit ECU)
engine #3: so now I'm back after a year of down-time with a 3 mm seal motor, BNR Stage 2s, Power FC, big injectors, braided lines everywhere, Innovative wideband, and a whole lotta gas, ready to kick some ricer (and Mustang) ***
car runs better at 9 psi (break-in) then it did at 13 before...this is gonna be good (I hope)
67k miles now

I bought mine in Nov 99, and had 57k on the original motor on a completely bone stock car. I'm on my third motor. First motor had a cracked apex seal due to carbon build up from orinal owner. Second motor blown due to overboosting conditions from malfunctioned boost controller.

I bought my FD in Oct. 1999, 3rd owner with 60k, now it's got close to 180k. It was my daily driver up until I got smart in late 2004. I now drive it around 3 days a week.
Original motor replaced at 70k with a reman. Beat the living crap out of that reman but maintained it well, mostly freeway miles.
Reman rebuilt (my first attempt on my own) at 165k and still holding. Man, I must have replaced every single part on that car....twice.

Bought mine in 2004 w. 78K miles for $6000. After $3k in maintenence and upgrades, it's nearly perfect. It's never been driven in winter, the bottom of the car still looks new! It now has 85K miles.
