Question For Gauge Installation Gurus

Ok, Let me start off by saying that I DID search, but I found a lot of mixed feelings on the placement of two gauge senders I need to install . My question aimed towards the people who have installed these senders, and what sucess and/or failure have you had.

Any who, my question is this,

I just got my defi fuel pressure and egt gauge and was wondering where you guys installed the senders for these gauges? How close or far did you place the egt sender from the turbo manifold? Where in the line did you T and install your fuel pressure sender and do you get good reading?

Thanks for all the help in advance,
-josh

EGT was installed just downstream of the downpipe flange. Basically it is right below the shifter, if you are in the car. I did this because that is the location of my wideband and since it is heat sensitive i wanted to keep tabs on the temp. I run 1200-1300 Deg. I have freinds that run the same guage 1 foot from the turbo, on the downpipe, and see 1400-1500 Deg.

Fuel pressure sendor was installed on my FPR. I have an aftermarket one so it was real easy becasue the tap was already there great readings.

last bit of advice, make sure your guages have a good voltage source.

FPR=fuel pressure regulator

I installed my fuel pressure gauge in the fuel line right below the oil filter. I ordered a fuel pressure sender unit Tee from summit racing and it worked fine. This is were I got my info from.

Good Luck
