question about scc rx7

i was reading about the sports compact car rx7 project. its pretty good but i was wondering something. they used an m2 downpipe, m2 intake, racing beat catback exhaust, mazdaspeed radiator and m2 reprogrammed ecu and made 301rwhp and 290tq. the thing i was wondering is do you have to use m2s intake and dp and do u have to use a racing beat cat back exhaust or could you use a apexi gt spec, hks mega flow intake and another dp and m2 could still pull 301rwhp on their ecu.

You don't have to use any of the m2 garbage.

Just clarifying what RX7 RAGE was saying, you don't need to use ALL M2 products just to use their ECU. You can use their ECU and get whatever brand of the other bolt-on mods you like.

You could use any aftermarket vendor's parts for the job ... some may get the same performance, some a little less, some maybe a little more. If your goal is 300RWHP, you don't have to follow SCC's route.
